We love: books about gardening!
Posted:8 April 2013
If you’re feeling short of inspiration following this seemingly endless cold spring, look no further than your bookshelf to spur new ideas and creative garden projects.
At The Garden House our regular group of Friday gardeners gather each week to catch up over coffee and cake before heading out into the garden – whatever the weather! Recently we asked for everyone’s current favourite gardening books, and here they are:
- The London Gardener by Elspeth Thompson
- Trees in Britain, Europe and N America by Roger Phillips
- Home ground: Sanctuary in the City by Dan Pearson
- The Garden Decorating book by Tessa Evelegh
- Grow your own Cut Flowers by Sarah Raven
- Gardens of Obsession by Gordon Taylor and Guy Cooper
- Gardening with shape, line and texture, a plant design source book by Linden Hawthorne
And as gourmet gardening is always a subject close to our heart, we thought we’d add in these Garden House foodie books which we regularly dip into when preparing one of our special pop-up meals or special occasion ‘In the garden’ dinners.
- Fork to Fork Journal by Monty & Sarah Don
- Growing food by Anna Pavord
