Mark the date: Sussex Prairies Plant & Art Fair, Sun 2 Sept
Posted:24 August 2012
Well worth a visit – on Sunday 2 September 2011 (from 11am until 5pm) a rare collection of exciting nurseries, artists and crafts people will be coming together at the Sussex Prairies Garden.
This wonderful day out offers a great chance to source some amazing plants and artifacts for you, your house and your garden! Over 60 stalls will be displaying a great selection of unusual plants and beautiful arts and crafts pieces for you to buy.
Admission: adults £6, children £3
The Garden House will be there – ready to discuss our forthcoming (and very exciting) Christmas and 2013 courses, workshops, garden visits and talks. We’ll also be selling a variety of seeds and plants, and plantsman Paul Seabourne will be joining us on our stand selling a wide selection of his beautiful self-propagated perennials.
There will also be Arts & Crafts exhibitors, Food stalls, and many many more and over 20 specialist plant exhibitors including:
- PHOENIX PERENNIAL PLANTS – specialising in late flowering perennials
- USUAL & UNUSUAL PLANTS – small nursery specializing in perennials produced in small numbers to ensure widest choice
- CHRIS GHYSELEN – Chris designs and creates gardens and borders; he lives and works in Oedelem in Bruges, Belgium
- KEVIN HUGHES PLANTS – a wide range of favourites, tried and tested over time; more species have been added to the Trillium list, and the Magnolia list is surely long enough to tempt even the most discerning!
The Sussex Prairies Garden also happens to be one of our favourite gardens, renowned for its dramatic drifts of late summer-flowering perennials.
