Are You Eager to Learn about Gardening?

Have fun and be inspired as you learn the basics of gardening. Our Wednesday evening course is designed for beginner gardeners – to improve your knowledge and gardening skills and to give you the confidence to nurture and enjoy your garden.
Many of you already love gardening, and are knowledgeable and confident. Some of you have been on our courses here at the Garden House, which for several of you has led to a change in direction and a career in horticulture. You are the converted!
We are starting a new beginners course in September Gardening from Scratch. Do you have friends, family or colleagues who may be interested? Remind them that apart from the knowledge, fun and information imparted on the course she/he will also have a delicious vegetarian supper with wine to enjoy!

Learn how to grow healthy plants. Learn about plant life cycles, the naming of plants, the basics of soil management, composting, making your garden more sustainable, seed sowing and taking cuttings, plus an introduction to pruning, pest/disease and weed control, and one session on starting a vegetable garden or patch.
As well as horticultural theory there will be practical hands-on learning, and demonstrations of seasonal tasks.
Wednesday evening sessions starting at 6.30 pm, finishing at 9.15pm
Cost: £295 each person – to include a vegetarian supper with a glass of wine!
