Beginners and improvers: have fun and be inspired as you learn the basics of gardening. Grow healthy plants – learn the naming and the life cycles of plants, the basics of soil management, composting, making your garden more sustainable, seed sowing and taking cuttings, plus an introduction to pruning, pest/disease and weed control, and vegetable growing.
On each morning we will look closely and identify five plants, plus there will be hands-on activities – learning by doing.
These Wednesday morning sessions are designed for those of you who are new to gardening, or wish to improve your knowledge and gardening skills, to give you the confidence to nurture and enjoy your garden or allotment.
“Just a note to say that your course has really made me look at the garden and all that is growing around us with eyes open and it’s been great. A really good basis from which to build.” Ian
