Flying The Coop!

We’re great fans of writer Francine Raymond and her website The Kitchen Garden, and being chicken lovers here at The Garden House, we particularly love her new book Flying The Coop.
Follow Francine through the pages of this sequel to All my Eggs in one Basket, as she leaves her much-loved home of thirty years and downsizes to the seaside at Whitstable. Flying The Coop is a beautifully illustrated book charting her progress as she converts a bungalow, plans a low-ish maintenance garden, plants an orchard and starts again with chickens from scratch. Phew, we’re just exhausted at the very thought!
Francine also writes a weekly column for the Sunday Telegraph Life section and regularly contributes to Country Living and Gardens Illustrated magazines. Her style is contemporary country, and her many ideas for house and garden are simply inspirational.
Among others, Francine’s books include Food From The Kitchen Garden, Beekeeping For Beginners, A Henkeeper’s Journal and All My Eggs In One Basket. You can buy from her online shop HERE
Francine also runs various courses from The Kitchen Garden, and has joined forces with My Garden School to produce an online hen keeping course.
