Watercolour Inspiration in the Garden
Posted:24 July 2015
Back in June this year, our 4-session workshop with Brighton-based artist, Kate Osborne, inspired a group of garden lovers to be more expressive with watercolour. With Kates guidance and inspired by the lovely garden at Warleigh Road they were able to explore what the medium can do, playing with other processes including printing, collage, resist and crayon pushing the boundaries and revelling in rich wet glorious colour!
Kate says: “I now work very freely in watercolour, with the minimum of compositional drawing; this gives the paintings an unpremeditated look, which attempts to express the beautiful but transitory nature of the subject matter.” www.kateosborneart.com
